The second edition of the Lahore Literary Festival’s London edition hosted a Nobel laureate, journalists and literary luminaries
The Lahore Literary Festival returned to London for a second consecutive year, with a one-day event on Oct. 28 that featured the best of Pakistan, including the world’s youngest Nobel Laureate, Malala Yousafzai.
Hosted by the British Library, the ticketed, sold out event featured newsmakers, academics, opinion leaders and artists. Among the panelists featured at this year’s event were, among others, Ved Mehta, Ian Talbot, Yasmin Khan, Mirza Waheed, Tahmima Anam, Razia Iqbal, Muneeza Shamsie, Aamer Hussein, Amina Yaqin, Madhur Jaffrey, Sumayya Usmani, Elizabeth Collingham, Dr. Nur Sobers-Khan, Ashoke Chatterjee, Adeela Suleman, Shehnaz Ismail, Salima Hashmi, Nayyar Ali Dada, Amb. Maleeha Lodhi, Christina Lamb, Owen Bennett-Jones, Arfa Sayeda Zehra, Shezad Dawood, Vali Malhouji and classical singer Tina Sani, whose ghazals closed out the show with a captivating performance.
