Two personnel killed, five others injured in bomb attack targeting security forces.
At least two security personnel were killed and five others wounded on Sunday in a bomb attack targeting a military convoy in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal areas.
The attack came in the Mir Ali area of Miranshah, the main town in the federally-administered North Waziristan tribal agency. “Two security officials were killed and five others wounded in the explosion caused by a planted bomb,” said a security official, adding that a large military convoy was later due to pass through the area.
Also, militants dumped the body of a police officer along a roadside in the same area earlier today. The officer had been kidnapped from Bannu district a few days ago.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the killings.
