The Lahore Literary Festival Hits New York

Second edition of LLF takes place May 6

The second edition of the Lahore Literary Festival in New York takes place May 6 at 725 Park Avenue as part of a three-year partnership with Asia Society.

Founded in 2012 by Razi Ahmed, LLF has had five home editions and its New York and London editions both debuted last year. #LLFNYC2017 is a ticketed event and all sessions will be streamed live and highlights archived on the Asia Society website.

This year’s event features two Pulitzer Prize winners—composer Du Yun and oncologist and author Siddhartha Mukherjee—and a slew of other thinkers and opinion leaders from home and abroad, including Shahzia Sikander, Ahmed Rashid, Robin Raphel, Tom Freston, Ali Sethi, Molly Crabapple, Raza Rumi, F. S. Aijazuddin, Navina Najat Haidar, Basharat Peer, Bernard Haykel, Saskia Sassen, Akbar Noman, Mohammed Hanif, Nadeem Aslam, Dwight Garner, Ikhlaq Hussain, Dr. Azra Raza, Tahira Syed.

This program is part of Asia Society’s Creative Voices of Muslim Asia initiative.

Tickets for the morning and afternoon sessions are available separately and start at $40 for persons who are not members of Asia Society. All programming is subject to change. Follow @lhrlitfest and @AsiaSocietyNY for updates.
