Junaid Jamshed has ‘No Immediate Plans to Return’

A representative of the Tableeghi Jamaat has claimed the pop star accused of blasphemy plans to stay in London for now.

Junaid Jamshed, the pop star-turned-televangelist accused of blasphemy by the sectarian Sunni Tehreek, is in hiding in London and has no immediate plans to return to Pakistan, according to a member of the Tableeghi Jamaat.

Police in Karachi opened an investigation into Jamshed’s alleged blasphemy after a viral video showed the 50-year-old evangelist citing the youngest wife of Islam’s Prophet to make a broader point about women’s alleged inherent flaw of seeking attention.

A visibly distraught Jamshed apologized for his actions in a video posted to his Facebook page. “This is my mistake and it happened because of my ignorance and lack of knowledge and I seek forgiveness from the Muslim world,” he said. “I request my brothers to forgive me and I am thankful to them for pointing out my mistake, it happened unintentionally and I seek forgiveness from Allah.”

However, Mohammad Mobin Qadri, a Sunni Tehreek leader who accused Jamshed of blasphemy, told Newsweek this was “irrelevant,” and demanded the former pop star answer for his alleged crimes. The organization has also organized rallies across Pakistan, demanding Jamshed be arrested.

The number of blasphemy cases being lodged with police in Pakistan has been steadily rising in recent years and even unproven allegations often prompt mob retribution. A lawyer defending a blasphemy accused professor in Multan was shot dead earlier this year, while his replacement has been threatened to stop his defense or risk retaliation.

The blasphemy allegations have already hurt Jamshed’s standing as an Islamic scholar, with the non-profit Muslim Charity organization cancelling a scheduled appearance in Edinburgh to avoid controversy. The Tableeghi Jamaat, a conservative Sunni evangelical group often associated with Jamshed’s born-again Muslim status, has also taken steps to distance itself from the former singer. In a video posted online, Jamaat leader Maulana Tariq Jameel upbraided Jamshed for his controversial remarks.

Jameel told Newsweek Jamshed telephoned him in tears after the video was posted and assured him that he had never meant to insult anyone. “Everyone can commit such a mistake,” says Jameel. “These people [Sunni Tehreek] have given it a sectarian color, made it into an issue of Muslim vs. non-Muslim, which it is not.” He said that he supported Jamshed and had accepted his apology. “Issues like these will lead to my country’s ruin,” he added.

Jamshed, who rose to prominence as the frontman of the pop band Vital Signs, quit music in 2004 and joined the Tableeghi Jamaat. He also runs a chain of clothing stores and hosts a televised show on Islam. This is not the first time his words have caused controversy. In his role as televangelist, he has urged Muslim women not to leave their houses without a male guardian and also discouraged them from driving cars.

The former singer maintains his innocence, but appears to have become dejected by the blasphemy allegations. In a recent tweet, he said: “I never thought I would ever receive so much pain from the people of my country.”

He didn’t do this intentionally ….he was stated this from Bukhari shareef but his way was not appropriate …..he called hazrat Aisha as Amman Ayesha in this video… He didn’t abuse her like others did to prophet and his sahaba and family….if you think case of blasphemy is justified against him then all Shia’s should be punished more strictly then Junaid jamshed under this act

Govt of so called Pakistan ,by itself under the blasphemy case if you guys scrutinize whats going on in Pakistan.. Trading on Interest ,which called the direct war with ALLAH almighty is continually working in society. Biddat doing by our barailvi brothers on continual basis, these all are the important aspect which are far important then what junaid jamshed did .In the last resort, what junaid jamshed said is in the riwayat ,and this also reflect the almighty love between Amma Ayesha and our Prophet. To drill down further, he basically explain in context of women’s psychology, and then quote this riwayat that’s reflect the personal life of our Prophet and Amma Ayesha. Our Barailvi’s doing nothing except to pin pointing only the falsification from those who works on the sunnah of our Prophet pbuh.
It is requested all of you to adjourned their heart and soul from this fitnah propelled by the barailvi…so called Ashiq e Rasul..

As per Mr Tariq Jameel, JJ and others there can be no forgiveness for commiting blasphemy. They have repeated this stance for Junaid Hafeez, Aasia bibi and Rimsha Masih as well as countless other cases. So on what grounds does he ask for forgiveness and you preach us tolerance? Justice must be done!

My respected & Dear, the standard for us is not respected Mulana Tariq Jameel or other Islamic Scholars, yes of course we will obey them in regards Islamic teaching, but the Satndard for us are Suhaba-i-Keram (RAA).

It has been crystal clear in the Holly Quran that those “who commit sins unintentionally and then seeks for forgiveness we forgive him/her and we even delete it from the book of Holly Keraman ketebeeen”. When almighty Allha has announced for forgiveness then who are we to blame the respected Ummat of Mohammad (SAWW) or one of them like an innocent Preacher of Islam. Dear for the sake of Allah learn forgiveness when will we stupid Pakistani willl become true, loyal, honest and the hero of Islam……

You say “Countless non-muslims who were killed under this law”? Yes “Countless” you are very right, not even a single person has been executed under blasphemy law in Pakistan ever.

And regarding this case, there is no doubt that this is politically motivated case and no body in Pakistan even cares about this case as everyone know there is no case. The only people who think there is a case are the sunni tehreek guys or the foreign / foreign sponsored media, who are just brandshing their own agenda.

I’ve been defending Pakistan and Islam from its foes on social media that we do not tolerate injustice and laws are equal for everyone in Islam. I’ll be really embarrassed & ashamed if JJ does not face the trial. Alternatively you can explain me why the rest of the non muslims in Pakistan were forced to face trial on blasphemy? May be they were poor and minors? Justice should be equal for everyone regardless of 3 day saint or 10 years celebrity.

Do not forget, when one repents Allah Subhana forgives, forgiving is Sunna of Allah Subhana and his beloved Prophet Mohammed Peace be Upon Him.

We pray for every body who has become a victim of this black law of blasphemy in Pakistan. Everybody who has been murdered or will be murdered at the hands of this law should be considered injustice and violation of human rights. As I said earlier we pray for Junaid who himself was a good Insan but then he became a Muslaman. I do not have to say much, but considering what is going on in Pakistan these days.it reminds me a vers from Iqbals poetry. Frishton say bihter hai insan banana —- maga is main lagti hai mihnat zaida. We wish for junaid and his family a better and secur life, which is guaranteed only in the (according to Muslims and even may be junaid as well) evil West.

I agree every single word you said. This all matter has been created and spread by the people who can not do what Jamshed does and can do what he does not do. Imagine a so called media master also trying to use his program to create more trouble for the victim (JJ) but does anyone really think that Jamshed would had said so about anyone’s mistake, what has been said about his deceased mother? Off course NOT. Thats the difference between JJ and Amir Liaqat.
No one in his right mind will support the system developed recently in Pakistan about the people who mistakenly done something, what should not be done. For those who give example of Asia Bibi need to know that we also support the idea of forgiveness anyone involved in this kind of situation.
THAT THE REASON ALLAH ALMIGHTY HAS CHOSEN A DAY TO DO JUSTICE HIMSELF because Allah know there will be lot of victims there in front of him at judgment day who will seek justice from him. And lot of Sunni Tehrik kind of Qadri will be there as well to explain why they chose to be Allah? just for few days benefits? some popularity? some personal gains?

Read the Qur’an and stop quoting Hadith. If you insist on hadith then apply the following in your life also: Narrated Aisha: It had been revealed in the Quran that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated (and substituted) by five sucklings and Allah’s Apostle (peace_be_upon_him) died and it was before that time (found) in the Quran (and recited by the Muslims). (Muslim: Book 8, Number 3421)
Narrated Aisha: Umm Salamah said to Aisha: A young boy who is at the threshold of puberty comes to you. I, however, do not like that he should come to me, whereupon Aisha said: Don’t you see in Allah’s Messenger (peace_be_upon_him) a model for you? She also said: The wife of Abu Hudhayfah said: Messenger of Allah, Salim comes to me and now he is a (grown-up) person, and there is something that (rankles) in the mind of Abu Hudhayfah about him, whereupon Allah’s Messenger (peace_be_upon_him) said: Suckle him (so that he may become your foster-child), and thus he may be able to come to you (freely). (Muslim: Book 8, Number 3427)
‘ A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be eupon him) and said: Messenger of Allah, I see on the face of Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our house), whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man? Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man ‘Amr has made this addition in his narration that he participated in the Battle of Badr and in the narration of Ibn ‘Umar (the words are): Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) laughed. (Muslim: Book 8, Number 3424)
Not only do we have these two verses missing, but an interesting alleged “sunnah” is also described here: If a woman wants an adult (non-Maharam) male to visit her, she can just breast feed him 10 or 5 times and then he can visit her. I am wondering why the Muslims today do not apply this “sunnah” in their lives. Some people see the problem with this and they devise excuses. One such excuse is that the Prophet suggested this to actually discourage such a behavior. This is a strange way to discourage, especially, when in the following Hadeeth we read that the woman actually breast-fed this man and her husband became okay with it:
‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hadhaifa, lived with him and his family in their house. She (i. e. the daughter of Suhail came to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) and said: Salim has attained (purbety) as men attain, and he understands what they understand, and he enters our house freely, I, however, perceive that something (rankles) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa, whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said to her: Suckle him (Breastfeed him) and you would become unlawful for him, and (the rankling) which Abu Hudhaifa feels in his heart will disappear. She returned and said: So I suckled him, and what (was there) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa disappeared. (Muslim: Book 8, Number 3425)

So, Abu Hudhaifa was disgusted that this man would visit his wife, but then he allowed her to bare her breasts to him and breast-feed him, and then suddenly he became okay with it.
Please apply this to your personal life first and then quote other Hadith that allegedly show our beloved Prophet as a scheming person who sends people to assassinate others.

Even before tolerance. I have a very simple question. I read the hadith and can assure that JJ was being very humble while mentioning Bibi Aisha (r.a). How come no objection on the book and who wrote the hadith and there is an objection on the reader. He read the hadith in better words the way its written and added his style which he apologized for. He also started the hadith by saying ‘Amma Aisha()r.a. Also what about mulla tahir ashrafi who appeared drunk on GEO tv and recited quranic versus. Same sunni tehreek didnt say a word about it…..just a month ago.

People who have watched his video and listened to the exact words won’t even call it blasphemy or anything, because its not.He was simply pointing out the height of love between our beloved prophet (pbuh) and Aisha (ra) and there was nothing wrong in his intentions either, just that his choice of words kind of waved out in the process.Nonetheless, whatever he said was not on Allah or our prophet, it was on Aisha (ra) and I guess people are forgetting that there are some muslim sects out there who deny the validity of sahaba especially Aisha (ra) from the base (shia).Does this mean all shias are committing blasphemy? Because if so then along with JJ all shias should go under a trial too, as per logic of all the haters.

The blasphemous case that we take into account for trial, and the ones for which people are generally punished are the ones against Allah or our beloved Prophet.Even if it actually had been blasphemy against Aisha (ra) it could have been taken into account, but the point is, it wasn’t blasphemy to begin with. And most important is that, he realized his mistake and apologized for it too.

Tariq jameel is correct, this ummah has lost all its ability to think.

Molaha Jameel sahib is nowhere to be seen when injustice and cruelty is being done to human beings in the name of Islam. The ummah hasn’t lost its ability to think, it is its religious leaders who have led it to the brink of destitution. and need I remind you that as per hadith as well, the ‘aalims’ of the last days, i..e the Molanas of these days, would be the worst human beings on earth and our molanas are living up to that.
It is not for YOU or someone else to decide whether this was blasphemy or not. the process laid out in blasphemy laws is simply (and it DOES include able-bait as well btw), someone doesn’t like you or your views, accuses you of blasphemy, and a case is registered. And in general, before the court can do anything, some mullah incited mob or policeman kills you extra-judicially. this has happened to countless non-muslims and a governor of Punjab, in the name of these blasphemy laws. These are the SAME laws, Molana Jamshed, Molana Tariq Jameel and all their brethren fight everyday to uphold. Why a different course of action this time? Who are you to decide this blasphemy? A case has been registered because he offended the sentiments of some Muslims (albeit Sunni tehreek). And now the court and police, and maybe an angry mob would take its course. Justice done and well deserved. Maybe now mullahs would understand what it means to spill innocent blood in the name of a religion they know nothing about!

Forgive them? Hell no! its them and their kind who have made our country hell by preaching hate. And ironically, now he has gone and sought refuge in an ‘infidel’ country according to him and his brethren. Him, his comrades including molana jameel would happily hang anyone else under their horrible blasphemy laws. Why should they be forgiven? the people of pakistan, both rich and poor, have paid a high price long enough at the hands of these godforsaken mullahs and their twisted versions of Islam, it is time their version of Islam came to bite them back. May they all finish each other among themselves, and leave the rest of us Pakistanis alone!

It appears that you even don’t have a smattering of modus operandi of Tableeghi Jama’at to which Maulana Tariq Jameel and JJ belongs. When did they spread hatred??? Infact Tableeghi Jama’at is itself a victim of harsh opposition and criticism by other extremist religious groups. So pls before writing posts just think twice. And its a shame to read inappropriate words regarding blasphemy law. Any misuse of a law does not render the law itself bad. Allah forbid, eg if we Muslims don’t follow Islam in its true way, how can Islam be criticized.

*This is NOT a blasphemy case*.

Junaid Jamshed did not blaspheme. He did not utter a word against God or the Prophet. He merely describe Aysha (ra) as a woman who seeks the attention (of her husband) and as such he was trying to encourage men to realise that even the best of women are of such nature and we should be patient with our own women just like the Prophet was.

Junaid Jamshed is not the problem here. It’s the Pakistani masses, especially those who belong to the Barwlvi sect who are taking advantage of the public’s ignorance and turning it into a tide of aggression against anyone who sides with JJ. They are an embarrassment, shouting abuse and reacting like animals.

Where there has been actual words of blasphemy WITH undisputed evidence, by all means you should pursue prosecution and a fair trial. That is NOT the case here with JJ.

When Abu Bakr (ra) stopped giving charity to a man who slandered Aysha (ra), God instructed Abu Bakr to continue giving charity to the man and to forgive him. This is the example we were shown by God. What JJ said was nowhere near as bad as what that man did, yet we were instructed and shown how to forgive. Insulting Aisha, as terrible as it is, is not a crime of blasphemy!

Prophet was no God as he said in his own life that he was a human being and he had been injured in the battle and his wives engaged in gossip and tried various tricks to keep his co by not wanting to share it with other wives. People should be able to question everything. Everyone talks about Mohammad marrying many centuries but not Joseph Smith who married same age girls just not long ago…if you deal with ignorants and are in their co this is the result. JJ go back to singing now you know how foolish you were to join the ranks of the ignorant fools who has no tolerance like your fans of old.In my view religions nothing more then a fraud like insurance where they can take your money and promised you good life after you are dead. these not my words these were spoken by Steven King the mystery writer i do agree.

He should come back and face the music (no pun intended) – stand infront of a mob of S.T. people. If he is given a chance, then that demonstrates that the law is being used unfairly. Why are muslims given a clean chit while non-muslims killed for the same? I am sure the non-muslims also apologized while being dragged from their houses by mobs chanting for them to be killed.

He’s not an “Islamic Scholar” just a random famous pop star Muslim.
Tariq Jameel is not Jamaat leader, he’s just a famous speaker who happens to be associated with Jamaat.
A Muslim can’t be a televangelist, since they do not spread the “evangel” (gospel). Neither does calling one born-again make any since.

Thanks for pointing out it is a sectarian issue, that’s really all this is about.

Singer-turned commercial mullah should be hanged publicly for his blasphemy. If recently a chirstian couple is paraded naked and then finally burnt alive then why not so called mullah JJ may be meted out same treatment. Section 295-c of law may be applied uniformly in its true spirit and no discrimination may be allowed as Allah forbids discrimination very strictly. From Asia Bibi, Salman Taseer, Rashid Rehman etc. all have pledged that never committed blasphemy intentionally have shed lot of tears however, Maulane T. Jameel has never asked for their forgiveness which is highly regretful.

Forgiving is better than punishing. Blasphemy law is unislamic. We have numerous examples during life time of prophet Muhammad pbuh where he and his family members were abused, mocked and vilified by his opponents but he never reacted or punished anyone. However JJ should not be given any special treatment or concession because of his celebrity status or him being bearded preacher muslim. If it happens it will be absolutely against Islamic principles of justice and equality as same should then apply for likes of Christian woman Asia bibi, Mohamad Asghar and many others languishing in prisons for years.
Those scholars who have come forward in his support particularly his guru and mentor Maulana Tariq Jameel sahab should ask themselves why they did not react in same way when poor, voiceless, powerless and resource less people are largely falsely accused and sentenced for blasphemy. It clearly reflects their double standards. Mullahs are responsible for creating and strengthening these notorious unislamic laws in Pakistan but this time one of their peers got trapped. Hope it helps them to empathise with those voiceless individuals who along with their families are suffering enormously.

If JJ will be punished for this act after his sorry, than Aamir Liaquit (Ex-Shia turned into Dhongi also committed Blasphemy) and whole Shia religion would not remain in this country since they are committing this Sin/Crime as they are pleasing ALLAH and this is part of Shia religion, otherwise their religion will not complete.

I wonder if picking up of this remark posthumously from an old video from Junaid Jamshed’s speech archives alongwith his tax evasion accusation doesn’t have to do anything with his supporting the PTI/ IK recently!!! Moreover , JJ has apologized and his apology is different from others because neither in all his speeches / bayaans before this particular speech / bayaan nor eversince he has ever made any such remarks or shown such disrespect in any way.In Islam we say every action has to be judged according to the intention behind it ..if it was his intention he would have done it before or after this statement .Hence , there is a difference in the apology by him and a person holding his track record and any other Muslim or Non-Muslim who just gets up and says such a thing unless he /she proves by his past record and future commitment /promise that he/she has no malice against Islam or the Holy Prophet (PBUH) staying in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan .

We should not have any qualms in accepting his clarification that he made the mistake inadvertently . Actually the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in this particular Hadees had stated a psychological fact about women that they are to be dealt with , with love and not harshly as for example a curved rib can’t be straightened by force …and if one tries to then it would break …so is a woman delicate and fragile and should be dealt with care and love. When the Holy Prophet (PBUH) made this statement He (PBUH) had said that for all woman including His wives(R.A) otherwise He (PBUH) would have made an exemption. But it was only the right of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) to say anything about His wives (R.A) and no one ..no ordinary Muslim can dare do that as indeed JJ tried to do . Muslims know through authentic sources that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had also mentioned that some of his azwaajeMutahiraat (R.A) used to get jealous of His(PBUH)’s staying more than usual at one of His(PBUH)’s Zauj (R.A) ‘s place due to a honey he used to like eating at her place. So that means the Holy Prophet(PBUH) in both these ahadith hinted at the human nature of women including His (PBUH)’s wives (R.A) but no one other than the Holy prophet(PBUH) could say such a thing about the Azwaaj e Mutahiraat (PBUH).
Lastly , there is a difference between a law being wrong and its wrong application. There are trillions of laws in the World which are correct if applied in letter and spirit but due to their wrong application they are being abused. Its high time the abuse , if at all, of such a law in Pakistan should be taken notice of as the cases of many poor Christians recently shows and steps be taken to see to it that this law is no more abused and misused and applied correctly but as in the case of any other law there remains room for abuse and misuse which should not be taken as an argument/ justification
for its repeal.

There is difference between intentional ans unintentional..for example you are holding holy book Quran and suddenly it slips from your hand-its unintentional and Allah forgives your mistake but other if its drop.intentionally then you will be punish by the law

Same is the story here, given junaid jamshed background we all know he is religious person and probably a better practicing muslim then the one who are.criticizing him, anyways he quoted shih bukhari hadeedt but his explanation does involved ambitious words which has double meaning if you use it and illiterate people are exploiting this. He has asked for forgiveness and its not.up to us as we are not decision marking authority, Allah is, so.leave this case to him

If this goes.on, i can predict people will be reluctant to preach islam as illiterate people will be there on sword on their hand ready to chop.your headoff for your unintentional mistake without asking for any explanation from your side..

May Allah guide us all

JJ case is totally different from any other cases of blasphemy.
He is a Muslim. He cannot even think about committing any disrespect to Ahl-e-Bait or to our Mothers (Ummahat-ul-Momineen). His action was not intentional. But it’s heartening and so painful that we’re surrounded by so-called fake lovers of Prophet (P.B.U.H) who themselves go against the teachings of Islam and show up as intolerant people.

Pakistan is a Sunni majority country and the Sunnis are well-known to love the Prophet, His companions, His wives (mothers of the believers) and His progeny. So, if a Sunni is accused of anything that goes against mainstream Sunni beliefs then he’s asked to explain himself. This is what should’ve happened to JJ. He’s already aplogized unreservedly.
Non-Mulsims, Shiites, etc are known for their hatred for Islam and Wives/Companions of the Prophets. When they utter their mainstream beliefs in open then they’re given the chance to explain themselves as well. When they insist that yes they uttered blasphemous comments then the law is correctly applied on them.

Religions (organized in particular) are the biggest cancer on the planet Earth, Islam included, people killing each others over whose myth is more “true”. Sooner we got rid of this cancer better it will be a place for humans to live as a united creed.

Needless to say none of the religions have a shred of evidence to prove their veracity. Qur’an was clearly written/composed/compiled/formalized by Abd al-Malik and his general al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf or at least kick started by him and it was probably not until the beginning of Abbasid era that it was completed into something that we know of now. There is no evidence that Qur’an even existed by 632CE traditionally accepted date of Muhammed’s death…in fact the earliest complete Qur’an only starts to appear from 13th century. There are manuscripts from late 7th century onwards but they have surahs missing and the order of surahs mixed up. Now don’t tell me Topkapi and Samarqand are Usmani Qur’ans…they are not case they are written in Kufic script whereas Usmani Qur’ans would invariably have to be written in Ma’il or Hijazi script.

“You claim that the evidentiary miracle is present and available, namely, the Koran. You say: ‘Whoever denies it, let him produce a similar one.’ Indeed, we shall produce a thousand similar, from the works of rhetoricians, eloquent speakers and valiant poets, which are more appropriately phrased and state the issues more succinctly. They convey the meaning better and their rhymed prose is in better meter. … By God what you say astonishes us! You are talking about a work which recounts ancient myths, and which at the same time is full of contradictions and does not contain any useful information or explanation. Then you say: ‘Produce something like it’?”

We can see that the predecessors of this Sunni thereek have aroused allegations of takfeer against prominent subcontinent scholars like shah ismael shaheed (grandson of shah wali ullah). But the then scholars of harmain shareefain (when got to know about such allegations) asked the predecessors of shah ismael shaheed (as he had already passed away) regarding the allegations in reply to which they clearly turned down the allegations and told them their actual aqaid. The scholars of harmain shareefain were fully satisfied with the answers.

To every illiterate Muslim , who simply think Islam is about having a Muslim name only, go, dedicate some time and educate yourselves in Islam before the angel of death appears and nothing would be accepted but our righteous deeds. Wake up….. Junaid Jamshed was simply making a reference to a hadith of Rasulullah Peace be upon him where he said: “Treat women kindly, for woman was created from a bent rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is the top part, so treat women kindly.” classed as Saheeh in both Bukhari and Muslim. What is blasphemous in his narrating the story of our Mother Ayesha which is in fact a description of this hadith which advocates further to treat the women very respectfully. Fear Allah all of you who are falsely implicating a person narrating a story which is meant to encourage kindness for women and nothing else. Because of this ignorance you end up comparing a Muslim who didn’t even do blasphemy and on top of that apologised for the wrong choice of words he made. Keep in mind that if even one of you is wrong in slandering against a person and falsely implicating some one, all your virtuous deeds can be transferred by Allah to the person you are slandering against, and you’d be bankrupt on the day of Judgement simply because you blindly followed and acted on your leaders advice. Wake up!!! There is no question of comparing what Junaid Jamshed said to any incidence of blasphemy. First study what blasphemy is like and we should gauge in our own daily routines that if we are every disobeying Allah knowingly, thats an even greater blasphemy. Be watchful of this trap of Shaytan. Wake up

We are a blood thirsty nation where even the presumably pacifist liberals cry for blood, just because others were victims. So lame.

Islam or any other law judges a person primarily on their ‘intent’. If he was only trying to prove a certain point, whatever it may be, and said something out of ignorance I think he needs to be given some benefit of doubt. However, if his intent was of showmanship and attention seeking for ratings he should be prosecuted.

In any case this what happens when pseudo preachers become clergy and start preaching Islam in their own perspectives. There is no clergy in Islam and it is the duty of every individual to learn about their religion.

Salam to every Muslim! if blasphemy has uccurd then their is no excuse, if it hasn’t dont speak and don’t speech. I think it has uccurd. junaid jamshaid should seek forgiveness from Allah and he should seek real knowledge , accurate knowledge and in this respect he should not follow molana tariq jameel.

We should learn to forgive if the intention of repentance is honest, we should give a chance before punishing anyone.

Maulana Tareeq Jameel is responsible for the position of Junaid Jamshed , because Tablighi Jammat encourage people to do dawah without proper Islamic knowledge and they have many fake stories in fazail amal ….
So in short Junaid Jamshed made two mistake , 1 joining tablighi jamat and 2 that lecture in which he talked about Hazrat Ayesha R.A …
although he appologized sincerely but who knows what’s going to happened with him in future

A failure of a law written by an even bigger failure which will indefinitely be exploited until abolished or until our newborns start coming out with beards(I reckon itll be soon)

Junaid Jamshed is quite the hypocrite. He wont step in to condemn blasphemy laws, says ‘secular society is wrong’ and then picks up and runs straight into a secular democracy to save his skin. If Junaid Jamshed believes in his own words and his far right fundamentalist views, why wont he face up to the consequences of those same views when the shoe is on the other foot? Junaid Jamshed is a part of the problem in Pakistan and himself perpetuates radicalized Islam – he has capitalized on and become rich selling craziness to illiterate people who simply dont know better. Before Junaid went fundamentalist, he was a normal human being who well knew that an emotional illiterate population can be swayed by his fame and the hysteria he creates. He is an irresponsible citizen and now clearly outed a fake. He is also a misogynist and civil society hates him for breeding fundamentalism against women. With a privileged background and education like his, one would think he would have the sense to find balance in Islam yet he is without a doubt the biggest hypocrite Pakistan has ever seen. If God forbid, he is harmed, it will not be loss to anyone except his mother.

If he is ‘forgiven’ by the public who wants to lynch him given his view on regarded women in Islamic history, (and those who want him lynched bc his shameful and unislamic views on womens rights), now would be a good time to start lobbying for the forgiveness of ALL the folks making the mistake of ‘blashphemy’ and not just own tail.

I think Junaid Jamshed should have remained in his field of singing Qaumi songs or others which he was so papoular and he was so successful in it but stupidly he choose to become a moulvi and now he will be in the hands of these Jahil and illiterate Moulvis. He should give some money each to these Moulvis and try to get rid of them otherwise he can choose to stay in London,Dubai or Canada and open some Boutique Shop. This is his destiny due to becoming Moulvi with limited knowledge and thinking he can be very influential in this field too.

بسم اللہ الرحمٓن الرحیم

those who are against Mr.JJ , shows their devotion and love for Ummol Moimeneen Aisha Bibi Radiallah tala anha and also for beloved Prophet Mohammadﷺ . and i believe that they also possess some knowledge for it. and people who are talking liberal and in favor of Mr.JJ shows love for him and mr. tariq jameel who said that “he accepted his apology, and who gave him this right to accept or reject the apology?

it happens when a singer learn couple of hadith and think of becoming an Aalim-e Deen. just like a youngster start singing a song of vital sign’s song couple of times so he think of becoming Mr.JJ instantly. word to a wise.

and one question from those people who are the supporters of JJ that, if a person abuse your mother or sister or any of your belonging , you would dare not to speak to him or your would fight with him or whatever is necessary but when it came to Mother of Muslim-e ummah then you talk about forgiveness and talk about black act of blasphemy ? this is hypocrisy and rememer المرشیا معہ من احبہ۔ you would be with those whom you love.

those who hurt Aisha bibرضی اللہ تعالی عنھما , hurt Beloved Prophet Mohammad ﷺ۔ .and who hurt Huzoor Nabi-e Kareem ﷺ۔ i quote from Al-Quran: Sureh Ahzab, ayah 57, parah 22

“بیشک جو ایذا دیتے ہیں اللہ اور اس کے رسول کو ان پر اللہ کی لعنت ہے دنیا اور آخرت میں اور اللہ نے ان کے لیے ذلت کا عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے ”

i pray Allah subhana hu wa ta’le to make this post as guideline for those who seek hidayah and light. Amin.

Yet more demonstration of what an intollerant dogmatic man-made, so called religion Islam is. It’s about time human beings stopped worrying about what some man said hundreds of years ago, freed their minds and started thinking for themselves so we can all get along with each other. Sadly I suspect that there will be yet more demonstrations of intollerance and hatred of a so called “infidel” for daring to question the integrity of Islam.
It is all so predictable.

Junaid. Bro, I am sorry for you. There are few TV personalities who really deserved this more than you. You were too naive to realize you should not act like Real Scholar when you’re not. And so were not taught the pitfalls. Sadly, neither did your Jamat Elders took notice of this. Money & jealousy is more to blame here than blasphemy. Personally, I didn’t like your love for Saudi Laws about women. All are going Wahabi now? You’re between hammer & anvil now, Sir! It’s safe in London!

he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword….JJ worked hard to do his share to encourage extremisim to please the extremists, such cowardice has now reaped unintended consequences, this is what moderates have been saying, dont side with extremists, dont encourage them, instead stand up against them, else their fire will engulf you as well….JJ is enjoying the fruits of his labor…although I as a moderate Muslim am the first to forgive him. I was the kind of Muslim he would have hated, today, it would be me who would stand with him and he would be safe with me…the moderates that he used to blast, calling us the agents of the west.

He has less knowledge of Islamic topics. It is good for him to stop preaching and ask forgiveness whole his life if he committed those crime of insult by his Big Mouth.

Islam is the name of good behaviour , love , honesty , kindness and forgiven. So if any one accept his mistake and decides not to repeat such type of mistake must be forgiven. Those who are not kind for others Allah also will not be kind for them.

Islam teaches us to forgive and forget for others sins. Let us not start judging anyone by just words for which one has apologized already with sincerity. And this is Indeed the highest form of thinking to forgive and love instead of spreading hate. At least JJ is doing a great job by creating the religious awareness and if we really feel to punish someone for blasphemy then start with those who do not offer prayers despite of being Muslims. Making mockery of our religion is not what is being done accidentally or unintentionally, rather it is an intentional act. We all are enough guilty in this field.
