America’s Worst Mass Shooting

Donald Trump is right about the Orlando massacre.

Early morning Sunday, Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old Afghan Muslim born and bred in the United States, killed at least 50 and wounded another 53 after shooting up a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. On his rampage, Mateen, a security guard himself, rang the police and praised the Islamic State terrorist organization. What he accomplished was the biggest mass shooting in American history, and it was proudly owned by I.S.

The killer’s father, who immigrated to the U.S. and is an avowed supporter of the Afghan Taliban, came online to say what his son had done had nothing to do with Islam and that he might have been driven by his hatred of homosexuality. That claim is hogwash. This shooting had everything to do with radical Islam. Incidentally, homosexuality is punishable by death in at least 10 Muslim-majority states, including Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E.

Mateen also mentioned the Boston killers in his 911 message. Pakistan was relieved in 2013 that the bombing of the Boston marathon by two Chechen-American brothers could not be traced to it. However, there was some evidence that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was connected to the Army of Khorasan, which was then based in Pakistan. Tsarnaev accessed bomb-making instructions from Al Qaeda’s online magazine Inspire, which was edited by Pakistan-born Samir Khan, who, along with U.S. citizen turned terrorist Ayman al-Awlaki, was killed by a U.S. drone in Yemen in 2011. The San Bernardino killings last year were carried out by an American couple of Pakistani origin who had pledged allegiance to I.S. And let’s not forget Faisal Shahzad, the Pakistani-American who pieced together a homemade bomb for Times Square in 2010, and Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, another Pakistani-American serving time in the U.S. for terrorism.

Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party nominee for U.S. president, and her flower-power supporters are twisting what happened in Orlando as an indictment of lax gun control laws in the U.S. They are fooling themselves. The Orlando massacre is really about their country’s shockingly broken immigration system, which is unable to detect radical Muslims—a point that the Republican Party nominee for president, Donald Trump, has been correctly if coarsely bemoaning. If tighter gun laws had been in place or rather if he had not been in the security sector, Mateen would perhaps not have been able to kill as many people, but kill he would have.

What nonsense! Connect anything to Pakistan and blame the whole country for it. Why not blame Afghanistan for this latest atrocity? Blame anti homosexuality on Pakistan and Islam, go
see what the bible says about homosexuality.
Newsweek, you are insane.
