Senior military official says seven terrorist hideouts were targeted in precise aerial strikes.

At least 34 suspected terrorists were killed in precise airstrikes targeting militant hideouts in Khyber Agency early Wednesday, according to a senior official of the public relations arm of Pakistan’s armed forces.

“The military conducted precise aerial strikes in the Nanzrosaa area of Tirah Valley on Wednesday morning, killing 34 terrorists,” said the official of the ISPR. “At least seven terrorist hideouts were targeted in the strikes,” he added.

Pakistan Army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif has said that the armed forces will continue Operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in Pakistan until the terrorist threat has been eradicated. The operation, initially launched in North Waziristan, was expanded to Khyber Agency after the military claimed that many terrorists had fled to the neighboring tribal area to escape the armed forces.
